The stormy winds couldn't blow us back up the Columbia Gorge, but we did learn that you can save fuel money by waiting until the headwinds subside. We watched the wind turbines spin awhile, left the basalt cliffs along the river and entered the timber framed and mist shrouded Oregon of our past.

Tug boat just floated by our berth at the Mill Casino RV Park in North Bend, We are steps from Coos Bay, and this park is pretty cool and relatively cheap for our fixed income. Today we ran a couple of laps at Empire Lakes park (former site of Frank's 2000 mountain bike brush with death) and visited Cape Arago, Simpson Reef and Shore Acres. Life is good.
